I am looking for someone to take over my lease at Switch Victoria Market due to personal travel plans.

💰 Official rent: $449/week
💵 I can provide a personal incentive so the effective cost is approximately $400/week
📅 Current lease ends: 2 July 2027
🔑 Move-in date: Flexible, ideally from November 2026

This will be an official lease transfer through Switch Living, not an informal sublet. The incoming tenant must be a student and meet Switch Living’s eligibility requirements.

Shorter stay also considered

If you only need accommodation from approximately November 2026 until late February 2027, I am also open to discussing this.

However, because Switch Living does not permit private subletting, the lease would still need to be officially transferred into your name first. If you plan to leave in February, you may then apply through Switch to transfer the remaining lease again, subject to their approval and process.

The apartment is located in Melbourne CBD, very close to Queen Victoria Market, with convenient access to RMIT, the University of Melbourne, public transport, supermarkets and the city centre.

I can also leave most of my household items for free for the new tenant, so this would be especially suitable for someone newly arriving in Melbourne and looking for an easy move-in.
